Spicy Mala Tofu

Ingredients:

  • 5 Pieces of Tofu (white tofu is recommended)
  • 4 Shiitake Mushrooms (do not use dried mushrooms)
  • 1 Stalk of Spring Onion
  • 1 Clove of Garlic / 1 Tbsp of Sliced ​​Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Instant Mala Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp of Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp of White Sugar 250ml of Water
  • 1 Tbsp of Mushroom Stock Cornstarch Solution (water mixed with cornstarch) to taste

How to Cook:

  • ⁠Cut the tofu into cubes or bite-sized pieces
  • Chop the shiitake mushrooms into small pieces
  • ⁠⁠Slice the spring onions and divide them into two, separating the white and green ends.
  • ⁠⁠Once the ingredients are ready, sauté the garlic and add the white parts of the spring onions, then cook until fragrant.
  • Pour over the chopped shiitake mushrooms.
  • ⁠⁠Add 2 tablespoons of instant Mala seasoning, which is definitely meatless!
  • Then add about 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of white granulated sugar.
  • Fry the mixed ingredients until fragrant and wilted.
  • Then add 250ml of water and 1 teaspoon of mushroom stock and pour in the cubed or bite-sized tofu.
  • Finally, add the cornstarch mixture to thicken the spicy meatless mala tofu!
    ⁠ Spicy Meatless Mala Tofu is ready to eat.
